There is not very much scientific content on Gather, which is too bad, since science is often in the news, and is often part of other posts. Whether it is a new book on the latest diet fad, or debates on energy or environmental problems, science is something that is all around us. We are fortunate to have a number of qualified professional scientists and engineers as Gather members, and many more with a strong enough interest in science to be able to write and comment intelligently on a number of topics. This group is focussed on science, and the implications for the scientific world view on our society. [Note that this group was started by scientist Sy Garte, who recently turned it over to me; I hope that I can do it justice.]
